2015 Corvette Offers Atlantic/Pacific Design Packages

pacific frChevrolet has announced that the 2015 Corvette Stingray will be offered in two distinctively different, geographically focused design packages. Though both Stingrays will be “cut from the same cloth”, they each bear their own aesthetic characteristics. The Atlantic Coast convertible will feature a more elegant paint scheme, with a carbon-fiber metallic front splitter, rocker extensions, and rear lower diffuser, along with Fusion Gray headlamp housings and hood accents. The interior of the Atlantic package has the style and sophistication of a private luxury jet aircraft.

atl fr 3The West Coast package Z51 Coupe features a natural carbon-fiber hood and removable roof panel with a racier paint scheme. It is has more of a performance inspired theme than its Atlantic Coast counterpart with several beautiful basic color options combined with a satin black front splitter and rocker extensions.

pacific fr 3“One of the design goals for the Corvette Stingray was to provide customers with the flexibility to tailor the car to their personality,” said Kirk Bennion, Corvette exterior design manager. “The Atlantic and Pacific Design Packages were originally designed to showcase how the Stingray could be configured as a luxury sport GT car or as a high-performance motorsport car.” The two new design schemes will be made available to consumers in early 2015, along with the remainder of the 2015 Corvette lineup.

pacific intThe Corvette Stingray Atlantic Convertible and Corvette Stingray Pacific Coupe were introduced as concept vehicles, last fall at the SEMA Show. A positive response from potential consumers helped Chevy to decide upon a production schedule that has brought these two design packages out of a prototypical stage and into a production phase, relatively quickly. “We plan to make news with the Corvette Stingray every year, in part by offering special-edition models that offer a unique, personal ownership experience,” said Corvette marketing manager, Todd Christensen. “Our customers have told us they appreciate these limited-edition models, which have become an important part of the Corvette’s legacy.”

The Pacific coupe will be available with Torch Red, Arctic White, Blade Silver, or Shark Gray paint, all with full length satin black racing stripes and satin black wheels with red stripes and Stingray center caps. Carbon-fiber exterior components include rear spoiler, ground effects package, removable roof panel, outside mirrors, and exterior badges. The interior is available with a choice of racing seats in red or black, carbon-fiber interior accents, Stingray sill plates, and Stingray floor mats. It also features an indoor car cover, custom splash guards, and a specially designed rear license plate frame.

pacific rearThe Atlantic convertible design package will be offered in every color that is available on normal Stingray models. Exterior features include a Z06 style front splitter, Shark Gray exterior vents, hood stringer graphic, and Tonneau inserts. It rolls on chrome wheels with Stingray center caps and valve stem caps; custom splash guards, rear license plate frame, Stingray underhood blanket, Stingray logo embossed floor mats, and custom luggage complete the package.

atl rearBoth the Atlantic and Pacific package ‘Vettes are available with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission (with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, of course) that is designed to optimize fuel efficiency but a seven-speed manual is standard equipment.
