5 Reasons 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat is Best Sedan On the Market

Posted by

When it comes to full-size sedans, there are a lot of great models out there, yet one model rises above them all – the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. Here are our top 5 reasons why.

1. Most Fun to Drive Model

It is hard to go wrong with a sedan pushing out 707 horsepower, yet the outrageous horsepower is really just a fun perk. The fun to drive nature of this sedan comes in the form of how well it handles and the various driving modes. While other competitors and Charger models lack the big engine or the upgraded suspensions, the Hellcat version is essentially the sum of all the Charger models. You can literally transform the Hellcat into any of the other models via the driving modes buttons and custom setup screens in the Uconnect system.

These changes in the sedans setup and how it responds to throttle input add another layer to driving the sedan. Some days, you may want to go race car fast. Others you may want to say fuel economy and drive like the base model. While even others, you may find yourself on the drag strip and you want a custom launch setup. The multitude of various ways you can drive the Hellcat, plus the great handling it offers makes it the most fun Charger to drive.

2. Incognito Styling

IMG_6553_1000The simple styling touches, via the rear spoiler and logo on the front clip, for the Hellcat make it hard to distinguish from other models and adds to the appeal. Driving around in the Hellcat, it blends in with the other Charger models. Unless you are an avid car person, it really is hard to tell if the Charger model you are looking at is the Hellcat. It is hard to tell, until the throttle is engaged and a mighty roar is heard from the exhaust.

This adds to the fun of this sedan in many ways. For one, there is nothing better than roasting the person next to you at a light and seeing the surprised look on their faces. Also, you don’t have to worry about thieves targeted your car since many of them don’t know what they are looking at.

3. Smaller Exterior With Roomy Interior

Typically when you want performance, you have to give up either interior room or entry/exit comfort. In the Hellcat you get both. Compared to a Ford Taurus or Chevy Impala, the Hellcat gives you more interior hip/head space, better interior styling and more cargo room for the money. This is due to its width of 75” and the way designers used the interior space. While the others are a tough longer with the Impala coming in at nearly 4 inches longer, the rear hiproom and front/rear shoulder room are both less.

The smaller size also has the added benefit of a tighter turning radius of 19.4 feet and it is easier to park than the other competitors.

4. Easy Entry/Exit

While price, fuel economy and fun to drive are all important factors when shopping for a sedan, ease of entry/exit is one of the top reasons why people choose one over the other. There is simply nothing worse than owning a vehicle which is hard to get out off. This factor is so critical; it is a big driving factor behind growing SUV sales.  For sedans, it also plays a big role and the ease of entry/exit in the Hellcat is an often-overlooked bonus. Climbing in and out of the sedan, whether in the front or rear seats, is simply superb in the Hellcat.

5. Nothing Else Like It

IMG_6536_1000The last, and probably simplest reason, why the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat is the best full-size sedan on the market is it has no competitors. Even the 2015 Ford Taurus SHO pales in comparison with its 365 horsepower. The Hellcat is faster, more fun to drive with superior interior comfort and styling versus everything else. It is a car critics and car buyer’s favorite model. Don’t trust us? Just ask Dodge who can’t build enough of the nearly $70k sedan.
