VIDEO: Bryce Menzies Switches to Pennzoil Ahead of the SCORE Baja 500

Last winter we wrote quite a bit about Bryce Menzies after his thrilling win at second Red Bull Frozen Rush. We just got news that he’s switched to Pennzoil as his official supplier of lubricants and motor oil.

“Off-road racing is the ultimate lifestyle competition, rich in automotive history and tradition, and Menzies Motorsports is one of the most respected and entertaining teams in the sport,” said Doug Kooyman, Pennzoil Global Brand Director. “Menzies Motorsports recognizes the importance of protecting their hard working engines as they battle through some of the harshest conditions race after race. The advanced technology in Pennzoil Synthetics offer Menzies Motorsports the complete protection required by their trucks, allowing them to push the boundaries of possibility.”

Menzies Motorsports has been running events in the most brutal conditions since 2007. Menzies has won the most significant races in off-road motorsports, including victories in the Mint 400, the Baja 500 and last year’s Red Bull Frozen Rush.

The 27-year-old Menzies is currently preparing for the Bud Light SCORE Baja 500, taking place June 4-7, 2015, hoping to take his fourth title in the race. This time around, he’ll be running Pennzoil Platinum® Euro 5W-40 Full Synthetic motor oil in the #70 Trophy Truck.

Pennzoil recently made the switch to natural gas technology to make purer synthetic motor oils that lead to better performance than motor oils made from crude oil.

“This is a strong collaboration. We are thrilled to have Bryce Menzies as a stand-up ambassador to the brand and racing with Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic motor oil under the hood,” continued Kooyman.

The relationship will extend from the garage and onsite at races, to social media and key automotive events.

This year, you can watch the Bud Light SCORE Baja 500 on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 pm EST, where it’s also repeated on Sunday, August 2.
