Range Rover Launches Its Most Exclusive Vehicle Ever – The $300K SV Range Rover Coupe Crossover/SUV

All Range Rovers have an air of exclusivity. The SV Coupe goes well beyond that.

Land Rover’s newest vehicle to its ever-expanding list of amazing crossover/SUVs is the 2019 Range Rover SV Coupe. This limited edition coupe was crafted by the Land Rover Design and Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team. Land Rover will hand-build no more than 999 of these top-shelf two-door crossovers for customers globally. Prices for the new SV Coupe will begin at $ 295,000 U.S. dollars. Did we just say “begin?”

The Range Rover SV Coupe will have a 5.0-liter Supercharged V8 engine developing 557 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That power and twist will propel the SV Coupe from zero to 60 MPH in a flat five seconds according to Land Rover. That is indeed quick for a crossover/SUV, and the Range Rover SV Coupe will be in good company with new specialty crossover performance vehicles like the insanely fast Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Land Rover says the new SV Coupe will have a top speed of 165 MPH.

However, the special bits are really the exterior and interior styling details. “The Range Rover SV Coupe is a celebration of the Range Rover bloodline,” said Gerry McGovern, Chief Design Officer, Land Rover. “With a dramatic two-door silhouette, this breath-taking four-seat Coupe alludes to its unique heritage while being thoroughly modern and contemporary. Beautifully realized and superbly engineered, the Range Rover SV Coupe delivers the most distinguished, luxurious and exclusive Range Rover ever built.”

Inside, the new Range Rover SV Coupe will feature a “relaxed, sophisticated and contemporary ambiance” according to Land Rover. The seating materials will be of Semi-aniline leather with a gradated diamond quilt design unique to the vehicle. The wood trim will hand-crafted from Nautica veneer, a blend of a classic material with a new technology that fuses walnut and sycamore together. Land Rover will present customers with single-tone interior color themes or “duo-tone colorways.” One such special interior combination suggested by Land Rover is Vintage Tan front seats with Ebony rear seats.
The 2019 Ranger Rover Coupe SV is presently touring the United States. Those with interest are offered tours of the vehicle in select locations such as the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline Massachusetts. John Edwards, Land Rover Special Operations Managing Director says that “Feedback from SV clients who have already seen the vehicle in confidential commissioning sessions has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Custom builds for the new SV begin later this summer with deliveries to owners in the fourth quarter of 2018.
